Human Controlled Interface Concepts

Futuristic Virtual
Reality

Concept:
I have two ideas that can come out from these images and this topic. These depend on how much leniency I have with the futuristic idea and if money was not a problem, otherwise my second concept is more down to earth and my realistic in terms of money and capabilities.

      1. My first idea is every gamers dream and maybe this is a possibility in the future if a company has enough money to develop the machine focusing just on Virtual Reality, the idea is to have a ‘pod’ type design that allows the player to be fully immersed into the game. This will enable the player to be fully into Virtual Reality and will actually physically feel something, for example being able to feel a handle of a door, or an any other every day object. The possibility of this happening is slim and maybe this will never be achievable however being able to physically hear and tough things would be amazing.
Special VR gloves would be worn to enable the player to move their hands and feel, also VR goggles/ glasses will be worn so they can see in the game. This type of VR limits what type of games you can play, due to the fact that being shot at, being hacked at with a sword could cause problems for player and of course pain receptors would be another step forward. This type of VR is an extremely ‘out of there’ concept but I'm sure many gamers have thought of this possibility before, due to the fact that you can explore many creative and exciting worlds that you see in video games now and in films.

2. My second concept is much more realistic and is achievable now if not in a couple of years, but has a difference over what VR creators are doing now. Whilst wearing the gloves, running on the platform and using the VR headset you physically can separately move your legs, arms and hands. Unlike in many virtual reality games the players arms are fixed to their weapon. With these gloves you can move each arm freely, allowing the player to do the actions a button would do. For example pressing Square on PS4 reloads a gun, but with this VR you reach down with towards your character and come up with a new magazine and reload the gun yourself. This kind of VR would completely change the way gamers would play games and is maybe available within the next few years.
